The various algebraic identities useful for IBPS PO and Clerk Bank exams and for other competitive exams like SBI PO-Clerk exams and other UPSC and PSC exams are as follows:

1. a x (b + c) = a x b + a x c

2. (a + b)² = a²+ 2ab + b²

3. (a - b)² = a² - 2ab + b²

4. (a + b)² = (a - b)² + 4ab

5. (a - b)² = (a + b)² - 4ab

6. (a - b) (a + b) = a² - b²

7. (a + b)² = a³ + 3ab (a + b) + b³

8. (a - b)³ = a³ - 3ab (a - b) - b³

9. a³ + b³ = (a + b) (a² - ab + b²)

10. a³ - b³ = (a - b) (a² + ab + b²)

11. (a + b)² + (a - b)² = 2 (a² + b²)

12. (a + b)² - (a - b)² = 4ab
